A motorboat capsized near Jeju Port, and all three crew members were rescued by the Jeju Coast Guard.
According to the Jeju Coast Guard on the 12th, a report was received around 10 a.m. that the motorboat A (1.15t) had capsized about 500 meters east of Jeju Outer Port.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Coast Guard dispatched a high-speed boat and rescue team from the Jeju Police Substation to the scene. Fifteen minutes later, the rescue team arrived and quickly rescued the three crew members who were waiting on top of the capsized motorboat.
The motorboat A had departed from Hwabuk Port at around 8:30 a.m. for leisure activities, and it is presumed that it capsized after being hit by a side wave during the leisure activity.
All three rescued crew members were wearing life jackets and were in good health. No marine pollution was found in the nearby waters, and the capsized motorboat
hull is scheduled to be towed to Hwabuk Port.
