On the 12th, the Changwon Plant of Korea Micom delivered briquettes and supplies of love to vulnerable groups struggling with heating during the winter in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon City, Gyeongnam.
On that day, 15 volunteers from the Korea Micom Changwon Plant participated, carrying 1,800 briquettes by hand to five low-income households vulnerable to heating, working up a sweat.
In addition, at the unregistered senior center in Gyobang-dong 14th district, they also delivered items such as microwave ovens, Hetbahn (instant cooked rice), and ramen, conducting social contribution activities to help elderly people with mobility difficulties spend a warm winter.
Bae Gi-cheol, Director of the Social Welfare Division, said, “We are grateful for the warm hands extended to help elderly people with mobility difficulties prepare for the upcoming cold wave this winter,” and added, “We will continue to make efforts to provide necessary support for volunteer activities in administration.”
Meanwhile, Korea Micom has been continuing various social contribution activities such as campaigns to support low-income children and adolescents, the Zero Food Challenge, community plogging activities, and clothing donation events with colleagues at work.
