Accordingly, the association prepared the seminar focusing on practical content to enable small and medium venture business representatives who are conducting or preparing for technology exchanges with local companies to proactively respond to issues arising from technology exchanges based on intangible assets by domestic companies.
The seminar covered comprehensive topics for IP protection during overseas expansion, including IP and basic legal review matters, strategies to respond to technology theft and trade secret infringement, recent trends and countermeasures against overseas online counterfeit goods, as well as country-specific precautions for technology transactions mainly focusing on the United States, Europe, and India through case studies.
Jung Kwang-cheon, president of the Innobiz Association, said, "Since 2014 until last year, we have operated about 500 technology exchange consultation meetings annually, focusing on emerging countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, confirming that Innobiz companies are also actively expanding overseas based on innovative technologies. We will continue to actively strengthen the intellectual property protection capabilities of Innobiz companies for overseas expansion through cooperation with related organizations such as the Korean Intellectual Property Office."
Meanwhile, the Innobiz Association signed a business agreement with the Korean Intellectual Property Office in 2022 to support intellectual property management. Accordingly, together with the Korea Intellectual Property Protection Agency, it holds the "IP Protection Strategy Seminar for Overseas Market Development" annually at the end of the year aiming to protect companies' intellectual property rights.
