Promotion of 'Preschool Integration Voucher Project' in Education Development Special Zone Pilot Area

Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the morning of the 12th that it signed a business agreement at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Northern Office with the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) and the Korea Social Security Information Service (Director Kim Hyun-joon) to promote the ‘Integrated Cost Support Structure Project for Early Childhood Education and Care’.

Yangju City, selected as a pilot area for the Education Development Special Zone, is jointly developing the nation’s first ‘Integrated Financial Management System for Early Childhood Education and Care’ with the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, aiming to pilot operate it in Yangju City through the ‘Integrated Voucher Project for Early Childhood Education and Care’.
At the signing ceremony, Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju City, Superintendent Lim Tae-hee, Director Kim Hyun-joon, and related officials attended. The three organizations agreed to actively communicate and establish a strong cooperative system to promote △ deriving system development considerations such as work procedures and function analysis △ building an integrated cost support structure system △ operating and supporting the pilot project for the integrated cost support structure.
In particular, the three organizations shared the view that since the ‘Yangju City Education Development Special Zone and Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Integrated Cost Structure System Construction Project’ is an unprecedented pioneering educational project, they will carry out their best cooperation with a heavy sense of responsibility to ensure the successful establishment of the policy.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun said, “Through the pilot project, we will contribute to preparing a practical integrated policy that allows children in kindergartens and daycare centers to receive equal support without institutional disparities,” and added, “The three organizations will work together to actively ensure that the integrated policy is implemented in a way that parents can feel.”
