Suwon Nambu Fire Station Operates Special Volunteer Fire Brigade for Elderly Care Safety Guardians

The Suwon Southern Fire Station in Gyeonggi has introduced a special volunteer fire brigade dedicated to elderly care and safety guardianship.

On the 12th, Suwon Southern Fire Station announced that since last month, it has been operating the 'Elderly Care Safety Guardian Special Volunteer Fire Brigade,' a fire service that provides specialized safety education and life-oriented services for the elderly at welfare centers and day care centers in the Suwon area.

Last month, Suwon Southern Fire Station conducted safety education on essential topics for the elderly, such as fire and electric shock prevention at home and emergency treatment (CPR lectures), with the participation of volunteer firefighters and elderly individuals. Psychological counseling and art therapy to prevent depression are also supported.

Go Young-ju, chief of Suwon Southern Fire Station, stated, "We will continue to do our best as safety guardians through various activities for local elderly residents and strive to prevent all kinds of safety accidents."
