On the last day of the administrative audit of the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, a controversy over inadequate data submission and responses led to a commotion over the 'suspension of the audit.'

The Education Committee of the Jeonnam Provincial Council decided to suspend the audit on the morning of the 12th, citing issues such as poor data submission related to the Glocal Future Education Expo. The suspension was made at the request of Assemblyman Jeong Cheol, who pointed out that the data and responses submitted by the Policy Bureau were insufficient.

Assemblyman Jeong Cheol criticized that he could not obtain accurate information regarding the budget payment for the Glocal Future Education Expo and the process of selecting the theme contest.

Assemblyman Jeong said, “I requested details on the AI song judging expenses and breakdown for the Future Education Expo, but they ignored and deceived the council. Is there any reason why this information cannot be disclosed?” He added, “I also have doubts about the theme. There is a lack of responsible answers and poor data submission.”

He continued, “They deceived the assembly members and responded to the requested audit materials with insincere data submission, thus failing to properly engage in the administrative investigation. Given the current situation, it is impossible to proceed with the audit, so I request the chairman to suspend the audit.”

In response, Education Committee Chair Kim Jeong-hee declared, “To ensure a smooth administrative audit, the audit will be suspended.”

The suspended administrative audit of the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education is scheduled to resume again in the afternoon of the same day.
