Uijeongbu-si Successfully Hosts the 29th Farmers' Day Commemoration Ceremony

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 12th that it successfully held the '29th Farmers' Day Commemoration Ceremony' on the 11th at the auditorium of the Urban Agriculture Department in the city hall annex.

The ceremony was organized to boost the morale of farmers who strive for the sustainability and development of local agriculture.

Hosted and organized by the Uijeongbu City Federation of Rural Leaders (President Song Man-hoe) and supported by the Uijeongbu City Federation of Successor Agricultural Managers (President Lee Seon-no), 4-H Uijeongbu City Headquarters (President Hong Soon-bae), and the Uijeongbu City Federation of Life Improvement (President Kim Hyang-geum), the event was attended by Mayor Kim Dong-geun and over 200 farmers.

A mayoral commendation was also given to honor the roles and contributions of farmers, and attendees took the opportunity to reaffirm the value and importance of agriculture through the event.

President Song Man-hoe said, "On the occasion of Farmers' Day, it was a precious time to reflect on the sense of mission and passion of farmers," adding, "For our agriculture to achieve greater development, everyone's cooperation is essential, and I will continue to work for the advancement of Uijeongbu City's agriculture."

Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, "Agriculture is a fundamental industry forming the foundation of our society and a future industry," and added, "I will do my best to foster competitive local agriculture so that the sweat and efforts of farmers will not be in vain."
