On the same day, President Yoon expressed his anger after hearing news about a single mother in her 30s who, tormented by loan sharks, made a tragic choice leaving her young daughter behind, according to a written briefing by Jeong Hye-jeon, spokesperson for the Presidential Office.
President Yoon ordered, "The prosecution and police must mobilize all investigative capabilities to eradicate illegal debt collection, and financial authorities should thoroughly review policies supporting financial aid for ordinary citizens to prevent them from falling into the traps of illegal private loans."
