Wemade Max is transitioning to a dual CEO system.

On the 12th, Wemade Max held a board meeting and announced the appointment of Son Myeon-seok as a new CEO.

Accordingly, the company has shifted to a dual CEO system with Lee Gil-hyeong and Son Myeon-seok. A company representative explained, "This is a strategic decision to strengthen game development capabilities, expand the global market, and increase management efficiency."

Son, who founded the game development company Mad Engine in 2020, led the development of "Night Crow," which achieved significant success both domestically and globally. Son plans to oversee the overall management of Wemade Max and focus on exploring new business opportunities, including securing new IPs (intellectual property) alongside the new titles currently being developed by Mad Engine. He will also maintain his position as co-CEO of Mad Engine.

Wemade Max is in the process of fully acquiring Mad Engine as a wholly owned subsidiary through a comprehensive stock exchange. Through this, the company aims to enhance its global competitiveness by adding multiple new titles prepared by Mad Engine to its lineup.

Son stated, "We will focus on core development capabilities to increase the hit potential of upcoming titles and establish a sustainable growth foundation through diversification of the new title lineup. We will develop into a core development group representing the group companies."
