Active Recognition of Ordinance Activities in Welfare for Socially Vulnerable Groups

Jeon Seung-il, Chairman of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council, announced that he received the '17th Global Contribution to Donation Culture Award' on the 11th at the Grand Ballroom on the 3rd floor of the Yonsei University Alumni Hall.
The Global Contribution to Donation Culture Award is jointly hosted by the Donation Angel Club Foundation and the International Journalists Club Foundation. It is awarded to individuals or organizations that have contributed to the culture of donation in various fields such as international affairs, politics, society, culture, education, arts, and sports, aiming to widely publicize their achievements and promote the spread of donation culture.
Chairman Jeon Seung-il was recognized for his contributions to the development of Seo-gu through active legislative activities in welfare for socially vulnerable groups, including the enactment of ordinances such as the 'Support for Elderly Canes Ordinance,' the 'Shared Use of Vehicles Equipped with Wheelchair Boarding Equipment for Mobility-Impaired Elderly Ordinance,' and the 'Support for Sign Language Activation Ordinance,' all efforts made for the residents.
Chairman Jeon said, "I am honored to receive the Global Contribution to Donation Culture Award as a result of dedicating myself solely to council activities for the residents." He added, "I will continue to lead efforts to improve residents' welfare with a strong sense of mission and a spirit of service based on change and innovation."
Prior to this, Chairman Jeon also received the 'Regional and Social Development Contribution Award' and the 'Korea National Award.'
