Goal to Distribute 300 Units of GS100 Electric Scooter Series Within the Year
Daedong Mobility, a smart mobility company under Daedong Group, announced on the 12th that it will supply electric scooters to small business owners in Seoul. On the 7th, Daedong Mobility participated in a business agreement led by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of Environment for the "Promotion of Electric Two-Wheelers and Creation of a Safe Usage Environment" to support eco-friendly delivery by small business owners. A total of eight organizations participated in this agreement, including Jongno-gu, Dongdaemun-gu, the Small Business Federation, LG Energy Solution responsible for the battery exchange station business, and electric scooter manufacturers.
According to the agreement, Daedong Mobility plans to provide up to 300 units of its electric scooter product, the GS100 series, to small business owners in Seoul this year. To expand distribution, a special discount rate will be applied to the products, and small business owners will be able to purchase electric scooters without additional costs through revisions to the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Ministry of Environment's "Minimum Self-Payment Regulation" and subsidies from LG Energy Solution. Furthermore, through active cooperation with the participating organizations until 2026, the number of units supplied will be continuously expanded, and development of electric scooters specialized for small business owners will be pursued.

The GS100 series being supplied to small business owners is an electric scooter product that has achieved a 92% localization rate based on Daedong Group's technological capabilities. Compared to internal combustion engine scooters, a key feature is the lower total maintenance cost after purchase, including consumable replacement and fuel expenses. In particular, unlimited charging is possible through a monthly subscription plan at LG Energy Solution's Battery Swap Station (BSS), which is expected to reduce costs by approximately 3 million KRW annually.
Kwon Ki-jae, Vice President of Management at Daedong Mobility, said, "This agreement is an excellent example of public-private cooperation with the great purpose of improving Seoul's urban environment and supporting small business owners." He added, "We will strive to provide high-quality products in line with Seoul's goal of supplying about 2,000 electric scooters to small business owners by 2026."
