This project involves Aegis Asset Management redeveloping a 11,795㎡ site in the Ansan Banwol Industrial Complex to build a data center. It is a mega data center with a maximum power capacity of 40MW.
Samsung C&T participated from the design phase of this data center, providing a 'pre-construction' service that verifies costs, construction period, and quality in advance, thereby implementing an optimized design that can reduce investment and operating costs.
Samsung C&T previously collaborated with Aegis Asset Management on the construction of the Hanam Data Center, and the two companies have agreed to mutually cooperate to leverage their expertise to lead the related market and secure future market positions.
Samsung C&T has accumulated data center construction capabilities domestically and internationally, including over 10 data centers such as the Hanam Data Center, Samsung Electronics Supercomputer Center, Hwaseong HPC Center, and the data center at Saudi Arabia's Tadawul Tower. Additionally, it holds the first patent among domestic construction companies for the next-generation cooling technology of data centers, the immersion cooling system.
A Samsung C&T official stated, "Based on this experience, we expect to emerge as a leading business operator in the data center sector in the future."
