Public Procurement Service Achieves Results with 'Customized Comprehensive Support' for Overseas Expansion Companies

The Public Procurement Service announced on the 12th that it has achieved significant results by closely supporting domestic procurement companies through the "Customized Comprehensive Support Project for Overseas Procurement Market Entry" (hereinafter referred to as the Comprehensive Support Project).

The Comprehensive Support Project was launched this year to resolve issues companies face during the processes of entering, contracting, delivering, and after-sales management in overseas procurement markets.

This year, a total of 46 companies are eligible for support, of which 24 companies selected in the first recruitment have completed their use of the services. Participating companies receive support for prototype production, patent applications, certification acquisition, promotional content creation, and more to advance into overseas procurement markets.

For example, Company E, a manufacturer of AI video recognition solutions, participated in the Comprehensive Support Project and received support for hardware purchase costs for prototype production. They signed a technology verification agreement with buyers from Indonesia and Vietnam. Subsequently, they installed the prototype locally last month and plan to conduct pilot operations until the end of this year, followed by full-scale local verification next year based on the pilot results.

Company D, a manufacturer of radar water level gauges aiming to enter the Middle Eastern market, participated in an overseas exhibition and received support for producing Arabic promotional content. As a result, they attended the Dubai WETEX exhibition last month and engaged in price negotiations with buyers from Dubai, Kuwait, and India, laying the groundwork to expand their market channels into the Middle East and India.

Company K, a manufacturer of unmanned marine pollution recovery robots, also produced a prototype through the Comprehensive Support Project and received support for Middle East market research costs. They completed operational safety performance tests last month. Based on this, they plan to participate in the ADIPEC exhibition held in Abu Dhabi this month (hosted by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ANDOC), the Abu Dhabi oil and gas industry exhibition) to showcase and demonstrate the prototype to overseas buyers.

Kim Eung-geol, Director of Planning and Coordination, stated, "The Comprehensive Support Project plays a role in immediately providing services that companies need in export fields, increasing the possibility of entering overseas procurement markets. The Public Procurement Service will continue to carefully observe the difficulties domestic companies face in export fields and strengthen customized support that companies can immediately feel."
