Received the Grand Prize in the 'Industry-Academia-Research Linked Curriculum Video Content Contest'
Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) announced on the 12th that Dongseo University students demonstrated outstanding capabilities by achieving excellent results in the ‘2024 Capstone Design Competition’ and the ‘Industry-Academia Linked Curriculum Video Content Contest’ hosted by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
In the Capstone Design Competition, the Eco-Quiet team, composed of students from the Department of Architectural Engineering (Ahn Tae-ju, Shin Guk-hyun, Lim Dong-hyun, Jo Sung-woo), won the Grand Prize, while the Windbreaker team, consisting of students from the Department of Architectural Engineering (Kang Jin-gu, Lee Kyo-bin, Lee Seo-jin, Jo Doo-shin, Kim Jun-seo), received the Encouragement Award.
Professor Kim Dae-geon, the advisor, described the Eco-Quiet team’s project as “an innovative idea that simultaneously addresses environmental issues and inter-floor noise problems by collecting discarded banners and used batteries and recycling them into new materials.”
In the Video Content Contest, Han Ji-yeon (majoring in Visual Design) produced a video showing the process of designing attractive souvenirs to promote Busan’s coffee culture while taking the unique industry-academia education program Class Selling? course at Dongseo University and collaborating with CoArt, winning the Grand Prize.
Hwang Ki-hyun, head of Dongseo University Link 3.0 Project Group, said, “We are proud that our students have achieved results by integrating academics and practical work,” and added, “We will continue to provide unwavering support so that students can fully demonstrate the skills and creativity required in the industrial field through industry-academia cooperation.”
