On the 11th... Appointment of 7 People in 6 Fields Including Investment Finance, Advanced Industries, and Culture & Sports

Chuncheon City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Yuk Dong-han) held a ceremony on the morning of the 11th at the Chuncheon City Hall reception room to appoint expert advisors in various fields to strengthen administrative capabilities and expertise.

This appointment ceremony was organized to appoint seven expert advisors in six fields: investment finance, advanced industries (AI), culture and sports, urban construction, healthcare, and local autonomy, and to share major policies of Chuncheon City.

The ceremony was attended by Mayor Yuk Dong-han of Chuncheon, directors of Chuncheon City, Professor Lee Chang-hoon of Hanyang University Business School, Professor Bang Ki-seok of Hallym University Department of Software, Executive Director Cha Hyun-jin of the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation, Professor Lee Myung-hoon of Hanyang University Graduate School of Urban Studies, and Professor Kang Dae-hee of Seoul National University College of Medicine Department of Preventive Medicine as advisors.

Additionally, Professor Kwak Young-jin, invited professor of Cultural Contents at Korea University, and Professor Hong Hyung-deuk of Gangwon National University Department of Public Administration, who could not attend the ceremony, were appointed as advisors for culture and sports and local autonomy, respectively.

Through these expert advisors in each field, Chuncheon City expects to enhance administrative expertise and establish solid business plans, becoming a new driving force for city administration.

In particular, the city plans to utilize the advisors to smoothly promote major priority policies such as the establishment of the Corporate Innovation Park, Chuncheon Station area development project, construction of the World Taekwondo Federation (WT) headquarters, and the establishment of a regional medical system.

Mayor Yuk Dong-han of Chuncheon said, “Distinguished figures from across South Korea have willingly accepted the role of advisors for Chuncheon City,” adding, “To leap forward as a nationwide city, we will strengthen the overall expertise of city administration and work with the advisors to find a path for future advancement.”
