Lotte Championship Champ Kim Arim Enters Top 50 in World Rankings

In the women's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 11th (local time), she earned 2.06 points, jumping 15 spots from 72nd last week. She accumulated points by winning the Lotte Championship (total prize money $3 million) on the LPGA Tour held on the 9th at Hoakalei Country Club (par 72, 6,536 yards) in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, with a 2-stroke lead (18-under 270 strokes).


Kim Arim achieved a 'wire-to-wire' victory by maintaining the top position on the leaderboard for four consecutive days. This is her second tour win in 3 years and 11 months since the major US Women's Open in December 2020. The winner's prize money is $450,000 (approximately 626 million KRW). Kim was not an LPGA member when she won the US Women's Open. This is her first win since becoming an LPGA Tour member.


Nelly Korda (USA) is ranked 1st, Lin Xiyu (China) 2nd, Lilia Vu (USA) 3rd, Lydia Ko (New Zealand) 4th, and Hannah Green (Australia) is 5th. For Korea, Yoo Hae-ran is 6th, Ko Jin-young 10th, Yang Hee-young 11th, Kim Hyo-joo 19th, and Shin Ji-ae is 27th. Among 'KLPGA members,' Yoon In-na ranked highest at 28th. Madassom, winner of the KLPGA Tour SK Telecom·SK Shieldus Championship, jumped 14 spots to 60th place.
