On the 10th (local time), he claimed a come-from-behind victory (24-under 264) at the PGA Tour World Wide Technology (WWT) Championship (total prize money $7.2 million) held at El Cardonal (par 72, 7,452 yards) in Los Cabos, Mexico. This was his second career win following the Cognizant Classic in March, earning a winner's prize of $1,296,000 (approximately 1.8 billion KRW).

Eckroat started the final day tied for 4th place, one stroke behind the leader, and racked up 11 birdies (2 bogeys). His concentration was evident with two separate streaks of three consecutive birdies. He also enjoyed the momentum of five consecutive holes with just one putt each. The key to Eckroat’s victory was the putter change. He first won with the Ping Redwood D66 at the Cognizant Classic, but had not shown notable results since. His best finish was 6th place at the Wyndham Championship in August, indicating a struggle to produce strong performances.

Before this tournament, Eckroat added the Ping PLD DZB custom putter to his bag. Right after his win, he smiled broadly, saying, "This is my first win without the Ping Redwood D66 since I started playing golf at age 13." With this victory, his world ranking jumped from 59th last week to 38th. His FedEx Cup ranking also rose to 45th.
