Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital (Director Min Jeong-jun) is expected to alleviate parking difficulties to some extent by expanding the underground parking lot used by patients and visitors.
Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital recently completed the expansion of the underground parking lot, covering a total area of 11,714㎡ (approximately 3,540 pyeong) with four basement floors, in line with the completion of the Future Medical Innovation Center.
With this expansion, the hospital's total parking spaces increased by about 34%, from 1,321 to 1,774 spaces. The number of parking spaces for the disabled increased to 66, and women-only parking areas were also established on each floor of the underground parking lot. By the end of this year, 35 electric vehicle charging spaces (planned) will be installed in the outdoor parking lot.
Additionally, a new exit leading to the first floor of the hospital's main building was created, and one elevator was installed, greatly enhancing convenience for patients and visitors.
Along with this, a rest garden where patients and caregivers can relax was created on the first floor above ground, connected to the expanded underground parking lot.
Director Min Jeong-jun stated, "Since July last year, we have been carrying out the construction of the Future Medical Innovation Center and the expansion of the underground parking lot simultaneously," adding, "With the secured parking spaces, we expect the inconvenience of patients and visitors to be greatly alleviated."
