Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, cited the restoration of Korea-Japan relations and the revitalization of the nuclear power ecosystem as achievements of the first half of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration. He also emphasized that the ruling party and government must achieve regime renewal through change and reform.

On the 11th, at a joint first-half national performance report and future task discussion held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building by the People Power Party and the Yoon Suk-yeol government, Han said, "I believe our Yoon Suk-yeol government will be evaluated in history for just one thing: the restoration of Korea-Japan relations." He added, "We restored the Korea-Japan relationship that had deteriorated during the previous administration, and this led to trilateral cooperation among Korea, the U.S., and Japan. I think this is a remarkable achievement."

Han also regarded the government's firm response to the illegal strike by the Cargo Solidarity Union as an accomplishment. He said, "No government until now has stood firmly against the illegal strike by the Cargo Solidarity Union until the end. However, our government resolved this issue not emotionally but legally. It is a great achievement, and we understand better than anyone how difficult this problem was."

The revitalization of the nuclear power ecosystem was also seen as a major achievement of the Yoon administration. He stated, "Recently, we achieved a great success in the Czech nuclear power project. This was not something that happened suddenly, but because over the past two and a half years, our government systematically and with deep consideration (심모원려, 深謀遠慮) revived the nuclear power industry ecosystem that had been declining and abandoned." The term '심모원려 (深謀遠慮)' means deep and far-sighted thinking. This implies that the revitalization of the nuclear power ecosystem under the Yoon government could positively impact future projects such as expanding power grids necessary for artificial intelligence (AI) businesses.

Regarding medical reform, including the government's expansion of medical school quotas, Han pointed out both achievements and shortcomings. He said, "Many people said medical reform was necessary, but no one dared to take it on because it is difficult. There were trial and error processes, and the public felt uneasy." He urged that the ruling party and government work together to produce results in medical reform through the newly launched ruling-opposition-government consultation body.

Han added, "How we are evaluated, whether we can renew the regime, and prevent the emergence of an unscrupulous regime depends on how we handle the second half. Many may think it is insufficient, but the President also spoke about change and reform. Let us work with the government on change and reform and move forward together on the path to victory for the remaining two and a half years."
