Daejeon Office of Education Rated 'Best' in Provincial Education Office Evaluation for Two Consecutive Years

Efforts and Achievements in Reducing Private Education Selected as Excellent Case in Si Region

Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education received the highest rating in the evaluation of metropolitan and provincial offices of education.

The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it has been selected as the top-performing education office for the second consecutive year, receiving the highest grade in the 2024 Metropolitan and Provincial Offices of Education Evaluation.

The Daejeon Office of Education passed all 18 evaluation criteria, earning the top grade, and was recognized as an exemplary case in the area of "Efforts and Achievements in Reducing Private Education." This recognition was due to its efforts to analyze educational conditions to revitalize after-school programs and care classes, expand self-directed learning programs to ensure basic academic skills, and implement customized education focused on subjects and career paths.

The Daejeon Office of Education secured a financial incentive of 500 million KRW for the top grade and an additional 325 million KRW in special grants for being selected as an exemplary case.

Seol Dongho, Superintendent of the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "Achieving the highest grade for two consecutive years in the evaluation of metropolitan and provincial offices of education is the result of the entire Daejeon education community's dedication to strengthening future capabilities so that our students can grow into creative and convergent talents."
