'Incheon Global Top 10 City' Weekly Opening... Creating Business Models

August 8-15, Over 30 Countries' Potential Investors and Government Delegations Attend

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority has designated the period from the 8th to the 15th as the "Incheon Global Top 10 (top10) Cities Week" and is embarking on creating new business models.

During this period, potential investors, government delegations, corporate envoys, and foreign press from over 30 countries will visit the Incheon Free Economic Zone. The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority will conduct on-site IR (investment attraction activities), multilateral agreements with 10 cities, launch a project with Microsoft (MS), and hold conferences led by global tech companies in the Korea-China future advanced industries sector.

On the 12th, at Songdo Kyungwonjae, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority will sign a multilateral agreement with government representatives from 10 cities in 6 countries to share smart city models and startup support plans, declaring the "Incheon Smart City Initiative." This initiative focuses on sharing smart city models among cities, supporting related startup growth, and jointly responding to public health crises through bio workforce development.

On the 13th, about 200 global tech companies of various scales specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), digital twin, deep learning, and more will gather at Incheon Startup Park to showcase their technologies and conduct IR activities. A joint project between the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority and MS to discover startups and nurture them into unicorn companies will also be launched.

Additionally, the "2024 Incheon Smart City Summit (11th?13th)" and the "Korea-China Future Advanced Industry Forum (14th?15th)" will be held consecutively at Songdo Convensia. Amid anticipated major changes in the global industrial and trade environment such as Trump-era tariff barriers and global supply chain restructuring, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to use this event as momentum to strengthen partnerships among participating cities and focus on international cooperation and creating new business opportunities.

In particular, the Korea-China Future Advanced Industry Forum will invite companies in the bio-healthcare, mobility-automotive, green energy, and smart logistics sectors to explore a leap toward becoming a hub for advanced industry supply chains.
