Korea Student Aid Foundation (Chairman Bae Byeong-il) announced on the 11th that Nanchun Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Hee-jae), a resident company of the Daegu Youth Startup Center Startup Dormitory, won the grand prize in the Cultural Data Excellence category at the ‘2024 Cultural Digital Innovation and Cultural Data Utilization Contest.’
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Culture Information Service Agency (KCISA), this contest was held to strengthen the competitiveness of K-Culture through cultural digital innovation and cultural data utilization, support the revitalization of the cultural industry, and achieve cultural happiness for the public.
The contest was divided into Excellence Cases, Ideas, and Data Analysis categories, awarding a total of 25 winners with prize money of 68 million KRW and certificates. The grand prize winners in the Cultural Data (Excellence Cases, Ideas) category were granted the right to advance to the integrated finals of the ‘12th Government-wide Public Data Utilization Startup Competition.’
Nanchun Co., Ltd. is a social venture recognized for its innovation and business model through operating an information technology (IT) solution platform for vulnerable groups. Through its IT solution platform ‘Daon,’ it reduces leisure and social activity costs for vulnerable groups, creating social value. In the future, it plans to operate a platform integrating voucher services through agreements with national voucher project operating institutions in the Daegu area.
Bae Byeong-il, Chairman of the Korea Student Aid Foundation, stated, “We will strive to strengthen startup support programs to foster the growth of resident companies in the Youth Startup Center Startup Dormitory.”
The Korea Student Aid Foundation Youth Startup Center Startup Dormitory is located in five regions nationwide (Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon) and provides free support for housing, startup spaces, and startup consulting to university (graduate) students interested in or preparing for startups so they can fully focus on entrepreneurship.
Residents are connected with professional startup advisors who provide monthly startup consultations, and differentiated youth startup support programs are offered, including facilitating exchanges among resident young entrepreneurs.
