A Chinese national who was arrested for filming the National Intelligence Service building with a drone has been released.
On the 11th, a police official stated, "There were no indications of espionage," and added, "He was released last night, and additional supplementary investigations are planned."
The man in his 40s, a Chinese citizen, was investigated for two days at the Seocho Police Station in Seoul on charges of violating the Aviation Safety Act and was sent home.
Mr. A reportedly stated, "I am very interested in World Cultural Heritage sites, so I filmed Heoninreung."
The police imposed a travel ban on Mr. A.
