"No Player Consent" In July 2020, a video of Son Heung-min having an argument with Tottenham Hotspur's goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in the locker room shocked football fans worldwide. Their intense emotional clash was fully revealed through a documentary. Amazon Prime Video's "All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur"

On the 7th (local time), The New York Times highlighted this revelation from Lloris's recently published autobiography, Earning my Spurs. The documentary Lloris mentioned is the 2020 Amazon Prime Video series All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur, which closely followed Tottenham's 2019?2020 season.

In his autobiography, Lloris claimed that all team members, including himself, struggled due to the production crew's efforts to record every move of the players during the documentary filming. He said, "(The documentary filming) was a decision made by the club without the consent of the players or the coach," adding, "As a result, tension rose to a level that affected the team's daily life."

Specifically, Lloris said, "We always had to be careful. When the documentary crew installed small microphones on the dining tables, we moved to other tables to sit," and "The only place where we could speak freely was the locker room, and we agreed that it should remain off-limits. Otherwise, they would have installed microphones and cameras everywhere."

Despite the team members' requests not to install cameras in the locker room, the documentary crew installed them. According to Lloris, this is how the footage of his argument with Son Heung-min was captured and made public. Their confrontation, which nearly escalated into a physical fight, was fully revealed in episode 9 of the documentary.

The dispute between the two occurred after the first half of the home match against Everton in July 2020. As Lloris headed to the locker room, he angrily told Son Heung-min that he was "not actively participating in defense," to which Son raised his voice, saying, "What's wrong with you? You don't respect me. I respected you." Their teammates intervened, preventing a physical altercation.

Previously, Son Heung-min also confessed feeling uncomfortable with the documentary filming. In a 2020 media interview, he said, "Watching things that are not very pleasant is a bit sad as a player. It's not good that there is some kind of incident in every episode," but he tried to find a positive side, adding, "Still, I think it's good to show people what happens behind the scenes." Meanwhile, French goalkeeper Lloris served as captain of Tottenham from the 2015?2016 season until he passed the armband to Son Heung-min. Lloris is currently playing for LAFC in Major League Soccer in the United States.
