The Department of Accounting, Finance, and Entrepreneurship at Yeungjin College of Technology focuses on cultivating talent ready to be immediately deployed in the field through practical, hands-on education.
To achieve this, the department operates the latest training equipment and programs, especially implementing and continuously updating the Duzon Smart A program used in corporate accounting workplaces.
Moreover, the faculty includes professors with extensive experience in accounting and taxation, such as those who have worked long-term at Duzon and authors of best-selling exam preparation books recognized by the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, who provide intensive education to enhance expertise in knowledge and skills.
Jung Hee-jin, head (professor) of the Business Accounting Convergence Department at Yeungjin College of Technology, stated, “While four-year universities focus on academic depth, our department has concentrated on maximizing practical skills during enrollment, establishing itself as a cradle for producing outstanding talent in the field of business accounting.”
Choi Eun-jin, who received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at this competition, successfully secured early employment by proving her skills. She said, “Thanks to systematic practical training and passionate guidance from professors, I achieved good results in the competition and obtained the TAT Level 1 certification administered by the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants last month. Because of that, I was accepted and am currently working at Daemyung Tax Corporation,” giving a thumbs-up.
The Business Accounting Convergence Department has also ranked first nationwide for three consecutive years in the practical category of the "National NCS Accounting Information Practice Competition," which it has participated in since 2014, surpassing four-year universities.
Meanwhile, the Department of Accounting, Finance, and Entrepreneurship plans to open a “Specialized Employment Class for Adult Learners” in the 2025 academic year to support practical education and employment for adult learners such as mature students whose careers were interrupted due to marriage, childbirth, and childcare, as well as employees wishing to transition to accounting and tax work. New students will be recruited through this year’s early admission.
