Improving Housing Conditions for Vulnerable Groups in Gangseo-gu, Seoul on the 13th
On the 11th, Kiturami Group announced that it will jointly conduct the ‘18th Warming Up! Korea Joint Volunteer Activity’ with the Korea Gas Safety Corporation.
Since their first collaboration in 2007, the annual Warming Up! Korea joint volunteer activity has been a community-based social contribution program that helps underprivileged local residents stay warm during winter. It is led by Kiturami Boiler, a leading company in residential boilers, and the Korea Gas Safety Corporation, a gas safety specialist organization.

This year’s joint volunteer activity, held over two days on the 12th and 13th, will involve about 60 employees from Kiturami Group and the Korea Gas Safety Corporation participating in ▲kimchi-making sharing activities for underprivileged local residents and ▲housing environment improvement activities for low-income families.
On the 12th, to support vulnerable groups struggling with the soaring cost of kimchi-making ingredients, participants will conduct kimchi-sharing activities in Deoksan-eup, Jincheon-gun, Chungbuk Province. Together with members of the Jincheon-gun Council of the National Unification Advisory Council and the Deoksan-eup Saemaul Association, participants will mix various seasonings into 300 heads of pre-salted napa cabbage to make kimchi, then package it in airtight containers. The finished kimchi will be delivered to 100 underprivileged households, including single-parent families and elderly living alone in Jincheon-gun, Chungbuk Province.
On the 13th, housing environment improvement volunteer activities will be carried out for five households, including low-income families and elderly living alone, in Banghwa-dong and Gayang-dong areas of Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The activities will include organizing and disposing of household items, wallpapering walls, replacing flooring, and thorough cleaning of indoor spaces and bathrooms to renovate the living spaces. Additionally, to help each household endure the winter cold and enjoy a more comfortable daily life, winter supplies and daily necessities such as Kiturami carbon mats, bedding, furniture, gas stoves, and tableware will be provided according to each household’s needs.
A representative of the joint volunteer group said, “For 18 years, the company and the corporation have joined forces annually to provide practical help so that neighbors in need can spend a warm and safe winter,” adding, “We will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibility through active collaboration with related organizations and carry out various social contribution activities that can repay the love of local residents.”
