"Controlled the Situation Room but Teenagers Rushed In Immediately After Countdown"
It has been revealed that the lighting on Gwangandaegyo Bridge went out during this year's Busan Fireworks Festival, which attracted 1.03 million people.
According to Yonhap News on the 11th, just before the fireworks show on the 9th, the lighting cable connected to Gwangandaegyo Bridge installed in the production control room was damaged, causing the scenic lighting on the bridge to go out.

The Busan Festival Organizing Committee explained that three people suddenly entered the control room tent with ten others, and during the process of being stopped by a security officer and leaving, they touched the installed cable, causing it to break and the scenic lighting on Gwangandaegyo Bridge to go out.
The start of the fireworks show was delayed by about 10 minutes to turn the Gwangandaegyo Bridge lighting back on. However, it could not be restored, and ultimately, the fireworks show proceeded for about an hour with the bridge lighting off, which was supposed to be synchronized with the fireworks.

The organizing committee stated, "We controlled the control room, but they suddenly intruded right after the countdown," and added, "From next year, we will establish backup facilities to flexibly respond to unexpected situations."
Meanwhile, the Busan Fireworks Festival held on the 9th was attended by 1.03 million people. Compared to last year's 770,000 attendees, the number of visitors greatly increased, making it a huge success.
Earlier, Busan City deployed 6,700 safety management personnel, including public officials and police officers, to prevent safety accidents. Busan Transportation Corporation also increased train operations on lines 1 to 4 by 240 runs and extended the last train time by 25 minutes to facilitate smooth movement of spectators.
