"October Russian Casualties Average 1,500 Per Day... Highest Since War Began"

UK Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman: "Cumulative War Casualties 700,000"

"October Russian Casualties Average 1,500 Per Day... Highest Since War Began"

Last month, a British military official claimed that the Russian army suffered the highest number of casualties since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine.

According to the BBC on the 10th (local time), General Tony Radakin, Chief of the UK Defence Staff, stated in an interview with the BBC that an average of 1,500 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded daily throughout October.

Russia, which has been at war with Ukraine for over two and a half years, has not officially disclosed the number of war casualties, but Western officials believe that Russia lost the most troops last month since the beginning of the conflict. General Radakin added that the total number of Russian military casualties since the outbreak in February 2022 has reached approximately 700,000.

Meanwhile, concerns have arisen that with former President Donald Trump winning the recent U.S. presidential election, the Trump administration might pressure Ukraine to end the war by conceding territory to Russia. Previously, Trump had promised to end the Ukraine war as soon as possible if he won the election, but he did not specify the exact methods.

Amid this, Brian Lanza, a Republican strategist who served as a political advisor to President-elect Trump, sparked controversy in a recent BBC interview by suggesting that the incoming Trump administration would focus more on peace than on Ukraine’s territorial recovery. However, a spokesperson for Trump later distanced themselves from Lanza’s remarks, stating that he no longer works for Trump and does not represent him.
