Jeonnam Office of Education Holds Briefing Session for '2025 Village Education Community Contest Project'

Expansion of Training and Consulting for Village Activists
Building 'Networks' Within and Between Regions

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education recently held the '2025 Village Education Community Contest Project Briefing Session' at the Hidden Bay Hotel in Yeosu, the office announced on the 11th.


This briefing session was attended by this year's village education community activists, education support office staff, teachers, and parents. Additionally, residents who wish to newly operate village education communities from next year also participated, providing a time for sharing and communication.

The briefing session proceeded with ▲ explanation of the concept and operation overview of the village education community ▲ guidance on the 2025 village education community contest plan ▲ presentation of village education community operation cases.


The Office of Education plans to strengthen training for staff and village activists and enhance customized consulting by region next year to resolve difficulties faced by activists participating in the operation of village education communities. In particular, it plans to build a solid network within and between regions to ensure that no place is left out in creating a safe learning environment for student care and growth.


Jeong Byeong-guk, Director of the Education Autonomy Division, said, “The project, which started with three village schools in March 2015, has expanded to 229 this year,” and added, “We are grateful for the service and sacrifice of the education community that has worked together for Jeonnam students' education, and we will do our best to support the activation of this project.”
