On the 8th, Dong-Eui University held a meeting in the main building conference room with delegations from France's National Gustave Eiffel University and Madagascar's University of Fianarantsoa, who were visiting Korea, to discuss ways to activate international exchange.

The meeting was attended by Dong-Eui University President Han Su-hwan, Vice President for Academic Affairs Jeon Gyeong-ran, Vice President for External Affairs Lee Im-geon, Professor Cha Min-cheol, head of the Graduate School's Department of Film and Video Content, as well as University of Fianarantsoa President Azalalaina Em? Richard, Dean of the College of Technology Management Innovation Akotonirainy Asina Laraina, Professors Rakotoni Sitrakiniaina Andriamanahafah, Rajafinimarochimiala Toki Arisetraedi, and from Gustave Eiffel University, Thierry Bongjong, head professor of the Graduate School of Web Culture Technology, and Sophie Moro.
Dong-Eui University signed an international exchange agreement with France's National Gustave Eiffel University in 2013 and has been producing interactive documentaries while traveling annually between Korea and France. Since 2019, it has operated a dual master's degree program.
Additionally, Gustave Eiffel University established a master's dual degree program with Madagascar's University of Fianarantsoa starting from the second semester of 2024, modeled after its dual degree program with Dong-Eui University.
Through this discussion, Dong-Eui University plans to expand international exchanges between Korea-France and France-Madagascar, promoting various exchange programs and strengthening cooperation such as student exchanges and dual degree systems among the three universities.
Following the meeting, the delegation participated in a campus tour including the Central Library and the Department of Film, attended special lectures on Korean culture and film, and visited the Busan Short Film Festival, Busan Cinema Center, and the Busan Research Office of the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute.
The University of Fianarantsoa is a public university located in Fianarantsoa, the cultural and knowledge industry hub city of Madagascar, an island country in East Africa. It has 160 professors and researchers, over 600 administrative and technical staff, and approximately 24,000 students enrolled.

Dong-Eui University President Han Su-hwan said, “As K-content and culture gain global recognition, opportunities for international exchange are increasing. We will expand cooperation with various countries to promote the excellence of Korean culture and support students' advancement onto the global stage.”
