‘Sihwa MTV Prugio The Ocean’, First-Come-First-Served Sale in Pet-Friendly City Siheung

The growth rate of the pet industry is remarkable. According to the Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI), the domestic pet-related industry market size is expected to reach 6.0055 trillion KRW by 2027, which is double the 3.002 trillion KRW recorded in 2019. Additionally, KREI analyzed that the annual average growth rate of this market from 2015 to 2027 is 10.1%.

Meanwhile, Siheung City is promoting various policies for pet owners and their pets in line with the era of 14 million pet owners, and is also focusing on resolving conflicts between pet owners and non-pet owners.

On the 6th, Siheung City appointed nine additional honorary animal protection officers and is making efforts to build infrastructure as a pet-friendly city where people and animals coexist, such as operating the dog swimming pool ‘Meongpu Meongpu,’ receiving positive responses from many pet owners.

Amid this, the pet-friendly residential-commercial complex ‘Sihwa MTV Prugio The Ocean,’ targeting pet families living with pets in Siheung City, has started sales. Daewoo E&C announced that it will open the model house of ‘Sihwa MTV Prugio The Ocean,’ located on Turtle Island in Sihwa MTV, on November 10 and begin full-scale sales.

In particular, visitors to this model house can experience an exhibition by pet artist Lee Jong-seo. Lee is an artist who has expanded his artistic world through implicit communication with pets over a long period, capturing various appearances of pets on canvas using unique coloring techniques. Lee currently serves as the president of the Korea Animal Love Artists Association.

Meanwhile, the building is a pet-friendly house with ocean views and terrace designs for all units, planning to sell 584 residential officetel units. The exclusive area is designed between 53T and 119T㎡, which is highly demanded by actual residents. The model house is located in Baegot-dong, Siheung City, Gyeonggi Province, and the expected move-in date is May 2026.

Sihwa MTV Prugio The Ocean will continue the title of ‘Pet-Friendly House’ by providing a membership exclusively for contract holders and residents in partnership with the pet service specialist company ‘Withland’ to enhance the satisfaction of pet families.

‘Withland’ is a total pet life specialist company that operates various direct facilities for dogs, including hotels and resorts where pets can relax together, pet parks, grooming, cafes, and academies. Through this sale, contract holders and residents will be provided with memberships that allow immediate use of Withland’s hotels, resorts, and direct facilities.

The surrounding infrastructure also offers various recreational and entertainment options to enjoy with pets. The ‘Siheung Wave Park,’ a complex resort with the country’s first and the world’s largest artificial surfing facility located on Turtle Island, has already opened, and the global leisure shopping facility ‘Bonita’ offering various marine activities has also been completed. Additionally, residents can conveniently access the Sihwa MTV street mall, the planned Turtle Island complex facility, nearby Homeplus and Wave Park, and the Sihwa Narae Trail, all of which provide a natural-friendly environment.

Furthermore, excellent transportation infrastructure with a wide-area network is another advantage. National Route 77, Gongdan-daero, Pyeongtaek-Siheung/West Coast Expressway, and Yeongdong Expressway are nearby, making travel across the country convenient. The Sinansan Line (Ansan~Siheung~Yeouido) double-track subway, scheduled to open in April 2025, will enable quick access to the Seoul metropolitan area, including Gangnam.
