"Won Because It Was March 9... If Flowers Had Bloomed, Yoon Couldn't Beat Lee Jae-myung"
Democratic Party Claims "Inevitable Shamanism Involvement Suspicion Through Kim Geon-hee"
The Democratic Party of Korea released additional audio recordings related to Mr. Myeong Tae-gyun on the 8th. The recordings contain claims that Mr. Myeong was involved in the process of relocating the presidential office to Yongsan.
According to the audio recordings released by the Democratic Party on that day, in which Mr. Myeong's voice is heard, he commented on President Yoon (then president-elect)'s decision not to move the office to the Blue House, saying, "What do I say? Security or whatever, I told Mrs. Kim Geon-hee that if he goes there, he’s dead. Would he go if he thought he was dead?"
Additionally, there is a part where he says, "I said Mrs. Kim Geon-hee is a cripple, with sharp eyes, a patron to elevate, and that she herself has the fortune of the First Lady, but the president’s fortune did not come under her," or something to that effect.
In the recording, Mr. Myeong also says, "I said he would win because it was March 9th. Why? Because before the flowers bloom, Yoon Seok-yeol would win, but once the flowers bloom, he can’t beat Lee Jae-myung," and adds, "Professor Ham called, saying that if it had been a day or two later, he would have lost the presidential election."
The Democratic Party estimates the conversation took place in April 2022, shortly after the presidential election, and notes that Mr. Myeong’s remarks are noteworthy given his close ties to Mrs. Kim and others. They also stated, "It is inevitable to suspect that shamanism was involved through Mrs. Kim."
