Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) successfully held the '2024 Dongdaemun-gu Welfare Expo' on the 6th at the Dongdaemun-gu Office plaza, with participation from residents, social welfare facilities and organizations, and related departments of the district office.
This expo, under the theme 'A Comprehensive View of Dongdaemun-gu Welfare Information,' was co-hosted and organized by the Dongdaemun-gu Community Social Security Council (Private Chairman Beomseop Kim) and Dongdaemun-gu, creating a welfare harmony space where social welfare stakeholders and residents could communicate and unite.
The event began lively with performances by the Visiting Culture Yard performance team, featuring dance, pop songs, and jazz, as well as upbeat country genre music from the 80s and 90s.
At the venue, more than 25 social welfare facilities and organizations within Dongdaemun-gu, along with related district office departments, operated various booths providing information on life-centered welfare services.
Additionally, experience booths where residents could create and participate hands-on, as well as a coffee truck, were prepared to further energize the event.
Deputy Mayor Ingeun Lee, who attended the event, stated, “I am grateful for the dedication of social welfare workers who worked hard for this event, and we will do our best to provide better welfare services through public-private cooperation and to create a Dongdaemun-gu where all residents are happy.”
Beomseop Kim, Private Chairman of the Dongdaemun-gu Community Social Security Council, said, “Through this meaningful event, we hope to share various welfare information with residents and discover more welfare beneficiaries.”
