Unlike urgent situations that require immediate hospital transfer due to major accidents mainly occurring at construction sites or manufacturing industries, this first aid kit was created to allow prompt on-site emergency treatment in cases of minor injuries.
The first aid bag is equipped with a total of 22 types of quasi-drugs necessary for basic emergency treatment, including Airpas, elastic bandages, alcohol swabs, tourniquets, and hydrogen peroxide.
The first aid bags will not be placed at fixed locations within each workplace but will be carried at all times during fieldwork to enable quick response in emergencies. Supervisors and workers will also receive prior training on this management method.
Moon Eun-kyung, Director of the Safety and Construction Division, said, “We hope this first aid bag will be usefully utilized to promptly respond to safety accidents at workplaces. We will continue to strengthen education so that workers understand the emergency response procedures for preventing serious accidents and can report to 119 and provide emergency care in case of major incidents.”
