16th Shilla Stay Nationwide
210 Rooms from Basement Level 3 to 11 Floors Above Ground
Featuring Distinctive Rooms such as Family Room, Bunker Room, Ondol Room, and Cinema Room
Shilla Stay is expanding into Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, known as the "City of Gourmet."
Shilla Hotel announced on the 7th that it will open its 16th Shilla Stay in Jeonju on the 10th of next month.
Shilla Stay Jeonju is built with 3 basement floors and 11 above-ground floors. It features a total of 210 rooms, a buffet restaurant called "Cafe," a rooftop lounge, a fitness center, laundry facilities, and other amenities.
In particular, it offers differentiated rooms such as family rooms (60 rooms) for family guests, bunker rooms (8 rooms), ondol rooms (35 rooms), and cinema rooms (18 rooms) for couples. On the 11th floor, a rooftop lounge with a traditional concept reflecting Hanok interior elements will be created to showcase Jeonju’s gourmet cuisine.
Shilla Hotel expects that the opening of this Shilla Stay in Jeonju will further activate tourism in the Jeollabuk-do region as well. Given the current shortage of hotels that can meet demand compared to tourism resources, the entry of the branded hotel Shilla Stay is expected to contribute to an increase in tourists in the Jeonju area, including the nearby Jeonju Hanok Village. Furthermore, it emphasized that it can provide high-quality accommodation experiences to visitors not only in Jeonju but throughout the Jeollabuk-do region.
Jeonju, where Shilla Stay is entering, is one of Korea’s representative historical and cultural tourist destinations. It is a tourist city visited steadily by both domestic and foreign tourists, with over 300 cultural assets including Jeonju Hanok Village and Jeondong Cathedral, as well as historic sites like Gyeonggijeon. It is also famous as a place to enjoy traditional Korean dishes such as Bibimbap.
Pungnam-dong, where Shilla Stay Jeonju is located, is considered the central area of Jeonju tourism. It is adjacent to major tourist attractions such as Jeonju Hanok Village, allowing visitors to enjoy traditional cultural experiences as well as various local foods during their trip.
A Shilla Stay official said, "Shilla Stay is opening its 16th hotel in Jeonju, the city of gourmet cuisine," adding, "With a geographical advantage of just an hour and a half by KTX from Seoul to Jeonju and a 10-minute drive from Jeonju Station to Shilla Stay, we expect it to be very popular among travelers who want to enjoy culinary and historical exploration trips."
Meanwhile, Shilla Stay operates 16 hotels in Seoul and across the country.
