According to Hanam City on the 6th, the city allocated a total budget of 38 million KRW this year and supported part of the cost for replacing and rehabilitating aged water supply pipes for 18 households out of 30 that applied for the project. Currently, support is available for about 12 more households.
The support target for the Aged Water Supply Pipe Improvement Support Project is households experiencing inconvenience in using tap water due to aged water supply pipes causing rust or water pressure drops.
Specifically, this includes ▲ apartment complexes, detached houses, and multi-family houses that have been completed for more than 20 years ▲ old houses with indoor water pipes made of galvanized steel pipes.
However, houses that have received support within the last 5 years or have been approved for redevelopment, reconstruction, or remodeling projects are excluded.
The city supports up to 1.8 million KRW within the total budget of 38 million KRW until the budget is exhausted, with support rates by area as follows: ▲ 90% of total construction cost for areas up to 60㎡ ▲ 80% for areas up to 85㎡ ▲ 30% for areas up to 130㎡.
Houses owned by basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups can receive full coverage of construction costs.
Applications can be submitted by filling out the application form and submitting it to window No. 8 at the Hanam City Hall Civil Service Office by December 20. Application forms are available on the Hanam City website or at the City Hall Civil Service Office.
A Hanam City official stated, “We have implemented the rusted water supply pipe improvement support project to help citizens experiencing inconvenience due to aged water pipes,” and emphasized, “Our city will do its best to supply clearer and cleaner tap water to every household.”
