Kang Hye-kyung, who exposed allegations of the presidential couple's interference in candidate selection, appeared at the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office in Gyeongnam on the 6th for her eighth investigation by the prosecution.
During the last presidential election, Kang alleged that Myung Tae-gyun conducted a tailored illegal opinion poll for then-candidate Yoon Seok-yeol in exchange for securing the nomination for the June 1, 2022, by-election from the People Power Party for former lawmaker Kim Young-sun, and that First Lady Kim Keon-hee was involved in this process.
She also claimed that former lawmaker Kim paid about 90 million won in salary to Myung's side as a reward for the nomination.

Kang worked as the deputy director of Mirae Hanguk Research Institute, an opinion polling firm reportedly operated by Myung, before serving as the accounting manager for former lawmaker Kim.
Arriving alone at the prosecutors' office around 9:40 a.m., Kang told reporters, "I will speak after the investigation," and entered the building without further comment.
