Jinju City Goes All Out to Attract Tourists at the 'Taipei International Travel Fair'

Focusing on Promoting Jinju as a Night Tourism Specialized City
Enhancing Jinju Tourism Awareness

Jinju City in Gyeongnam participated in the '2024 Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF)' held at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei, Taiwan, from the 1st to the 4th, conducting promotional marketing to publicize Jinju as a city specialized in night tourism.


ITF is Taiwan's largest international travel fair, attracting over 300,000 visitors annually, with extensive participation from various tourism sectors such as travel agencies, hotels, airlines, and more than 100 countries and regions.

Jinju City operated a joint promotional booth with nine other specialized night tourism cities in South Korea to highlight the diverse tourist attractions and the charm of night tourism in Jinju to Taiwanese tourists with high potential for visiting Korea. In particular, the booth featured an AI video screening zone showcasing the unique aspects of night tourism and was decorated with LED lights, attracting significant attention from visitors.


During the fair, the city distributed promotional materials produced in Taiwanese Mandarin, introducing Jinju’s beautiful nightscape spots such as Jinju Fortress, Jinyang Lake, Kim Si-min Lake, and the Lantern Park, as well as excellent tourist destinations and the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival, focusing on raising awareness of Jinju tourism. Additionally, an event using the tourism character 'Hamo' goods drew enthusiastic responses from foreign visitors.


Besides operating the promotional booth, Jinju held tourism briefings and individual business consultations with local tourism industry stakeholders to discuss cooperation plans for developing Jinju tourism products and strategies to attract Taiwanese tourists. On the main stage of the Korea Pavilion, a quiz event introducing the charms of traveling in Jinju was held, promoting Jinju more familiarly to visitors planning their trips.


A Jinju city official stated, “Through this fair, we effectively promoted Jinju in the Taiwanese tourism market,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to attract global tourists through multifaceted promotional marketing that highlights our excellent tourism resources.”
