'Yoon Seok-yeol Government Midterm Evaluation Forum'
"People Shout 'No Qualification for the President'"
Jo Guk, leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, disparaged the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, which has reached the midpoint of its term, as "two and a half years of incompetence, irresponsibility, and failure."
On the morning of the 6th, at the 'Midterm Evaluation Forum of the Yoon Seok-yeol Government' held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building, Representative Jo said, "That shameless period is not even worthy of the word evaluation." He added, "A drunken captain is steering the Republic of Korea ship into an iceberg. Democracy has regressed, and the 'new authoritarian era' has arrived."
He explained, "The economy is in recession, growth rates are at rock bottom, yet the government only blames the previous administration," and continued, "As tax revenue falls short, the government tightens the purse strings for funds sent to local governments, and the people are desperately trying to plug a bottomless jar with their whole bodies." He also questioned, "The future of the Republic of Korea is bending like a highway near Yangpyeong. Is exploiting the common people's backbone the livelihood policy of this government?"
He also unleashed criticism regarding various allegations surrounding First Lady Kim Geon-hee. Representative Jo said, "Spouse Kim Geon-hee was the true owner of Yongsan. When Mr. Myeong Tae-gyun, who serves as a liquor merchant and teacher, contacted her, Kim Geon-hee said to the president, 'Does a brother who makes Mr. Myeong call in the morning in such a panic even qualify to be president?'"
He added, "The people of the Republic of Korea did not elect Kim Geon-hee as president. The Kim Geon-hee?Yoon Seok-yeol joint regime suffered a crushing defeat in the general election but did not change," and said, "They have no intention to change and have missed their chance." Representative Jo declared, "Now our people shout, 'Yoon Seok-yeol, you are not qualified to be president,'" and raised his voice, "So step down. You will be impeached and driven out."

Meanwhile, at the forum that day, the failures of the Yoon administration were introduced in a total of 57 items divided into four areas: politics (17 items), economy (17 items), society (13 items), and diplomacy/security (10 items). Lawyer Jang Yoo-sik, who presented on the political sector, said, "President Yoon abused his veto power 24 times and violated the president's duty of political neutrality, infringing on the legislative authority of the National Assembly," and evaluated, "The abuse of the president's veto power is unconstitutional and can be grounds for impeachment."
In addition, he pointed out under-investigation issues such as the prosecution's dismissal of charges in the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation case involving First Lady Kim, the concealment of truth regarding the death of Chae Sang-byeong, and allegations of lobbying to save former Marine Corps 1st Division Commander Lim Seong-geun.
In the economic sector, he cited growth-first policies relying on the trickle-down effect, the widening gap between upper and lower income classes, and the continuous threat to fiscal health due to tax cuts for the wealthy. In the social sector, he pointed out the deepening polarization of the youth generation, public safety issues, and the drifting problem of regional balanced development. In the diplomacy and security sector, he criticized pro-Japan policies, Korea-US-Japan biased diplomacy, and indirect weapons support in the Russia-Ukraine war.
