Recently, the county identified maintenance needs through a survey of each sports venue and secured 1.4 billion KRW in national and provincial funds. Additionally, 1.2 billion KRW from county funds was added, and renovation and repair of sports facilities have been underway since March this year. Currently, the installation of the hard court at the Work-Life Balance Dome Stadium has been completed, and the replacement of artificial turf and installation of a management office at Sangmu Peace Park Soccer Field are in the final stages.

Some school sports facilities will also be renovated. The county plans to improve lighting facilities through consultations with the Jangseong Office of Education and Jangseong Middle School. The Jeollanam-do Office of Education, which officially sponsors the sports festival, has decided to include the entire project cost of 70 million KRW in next year’s budget.

County Governor Kim Han-jong said, “The Work-Life Balance Dome Stadium, recently refurbished with a new hard court, has received great responses from sports club members,” adding, “We will ensure the other sports facilities are properly maintained to successfully host the two major sports festivals and provide convenience for residents using the county’s sports facilities.”
