Samhwa Paint Sponsors Paint for Jungnang Cultural Foundation

Support for Floor Installation for Wheelchair Audience

Samwha Paint Industrial announced on the 6th that it will sponsor the exhibition "Picture Books Seen Through Immersive Media: Watermelon Swimming Pool," held at the Jungnang Art Center until September 6, 2025, in collaboration with the Jungnang Cultural Foundation.

For this exhibition, Samwha Paint used its high-quality water-based paint "I Saenggak Water-based Interior Grade 1" to create an exhibition space where both people with disabilities and those without can understand and enjoy the artworks. In particular, Samwha Paint applied the epoxy flooring material "Epocote" to repair the aging floor of the Jungnang Art Center, allowing wheelchair users to comfortably view the exhibition.

"Picture Books Seen Through Immersive Media: Watermelon Swimming Pool" is an exhibition that combines media technology with the picture book "Watermelon Swimming Pool" by author Annyeongdal, featuring vivid videos and the warm sensibility unique to Annyeongdal. The exhibition includes braille, audio descriptions, and sign language, creating a space where everyone can come together regardless of disability, age, gender, or occupation.

This exhibition is the first to be held following the "Business Agreement for Community Contribution" signed between Samwha Paint and the Jungnang Cultural Foundation last October. At the signing ceremony, both parties agreed to actively cooperate on ▲ establishing a mutual cooperation system for the development and promotion of local culture ▲ supporting color content provided in the foundation’s exhibition spaces ▲ collaborating on education and consulting related to color universality ▲ utilizing and promoting the art center space for various forms of collaboration.

Lee Sang-hee, Head of the Color Design Center at Samwha Paint, said, "Since this exhibition is conducted as a barrier-free exhibition, we supported the paint, flooring materials, and construction in sympathy with its purpose," adding, "As a color-specialized company, Samwha Paint aims to create a society where everyone, including the elderly, colorblind, and visually impaired, can live equally and comfortably without being excluded from color."
