Winter Fire Prevention Campaign Conducted in Connection with Safety Inspection Day on the 4th of Every Month

On the 4th, Hanam City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 5th that it conducted a fire prevention safety inspection and campaign at Starfield Hanam in observance of Safety Inspection Day.

A joint public-private safety inspection was carried out on large-scale stores, which are multi-use facilities with a high risk of major casualties during the winter season when many people use them.

About 20 participants from related organizations and private institutions, including Hanam City, Hanam Fire Station, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, and Starfield Hanam, focused the inspection on evacuation facilities such as emergency exits and evacuation routes.

In addition, in connection with Safety Inspection Day, a campaign was conducted to promote winter fire prevention safety rules to employees working at Starfield Hanam and its visitors to raise safety awareness.

Lee Hyun-jae, Mayor of Hanam City, said, “Winter is the season when fire damage occurs most frequently,” and urged, “Please be especially careful when using electric heating appliances.”
