Gapyeong-gun Welfare Foundation Announces Recipients of the 'Gapyeong-gun Social Welfare Awards'

The Gapyeong-gun Welfare Foundation announced on the 5th that the recipients of the '2024 Gapyeong-gun Social Welfare Awards' are Park Seong-bin, team leader and life guidance worker at Gapyeong Kkotdongne Eun-chong House, Jeon Yang-suk, president of the Gapyeong-gun Saemaeul Women's Association, and Lee Mi-ri, administrative officer of the Happiness Care Division at Gapyeong-gun Office.

The Gapyeong-gun Social Welfare Awards are jointly hosted by the Gapyeong-gun Welfare Foundation and Gapyeong Credit Cooperative to discover social welfare practitioners dedicated to the local community and to widely publicize their efforts within the community.

Park Seong-bin, selected as the recipient of the Social Welfare Practice Award, has worked as a life rehabilitation teacher and team leader at Gapyeong Kkotdongne Eun-chong House since 2012, striving for the rehabilitation and independence of people with disabilities.

Jeon Yang-suk, recipient of the Social Contribution Award, has been devoted to helping marginalized neighbors in the community through volunteer activities with the Gapyeong-gun Saemaeul Association since 2011.

Lee Mi-ri, recipient of the Public Welfare Award, has been working as a social welfare public officer since 2015, performing welfare duties for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, and women.

The Gapyeong-gun Social Welfare Awards ceremony will be held on November 21 at the Cheongpyeong Lakeside Culture and Sports Center, where each awardee will receive a prize of 1.5 million won and a plaque.
