According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 5th, the morning low temperatures in parts of the central inland, mountainous areas, eastern Jeonbuk, and inland Gyeongbuk are expected to drop below freezing. Minimum temperatures are forecasted to be below zero in Incheon Ganghwa, Gyeonggi Yangju, Paju, Yeoncheon, Gangwon Cheorwon, Yanggu, Hoengseong, Taebaek, Chungbuk Jecheon, Chungnam Gyeryong, and Gyeongbuk Bonghwa. The expected minimum temperature in Gangwon Daegwallyeong is minus 4 degrees Celsius.

Frost will form in most inland areas, and outdoor water in the central inland, eastern Jeonbuk, and inland Gyeongbuk will freeze, so precautions should be taken to prevent cold damage.

The daytime high temperatures will also be between 10 and 16 degrees Celsius, remaining around 15 degrees nationwide.

On the 6th, strong gusts of wind around 55 km/h (15 m/s) will blow mainly along the Incheon and Gyeonggi west coast, Chungcheong, southern regions, and Jeju, intensifying the cold.

Strong winds will also blow over the sea, with the East Sea central offshore and northern Gyeongbuk offshore experiencing winds until the night of the 5th, and the southern West Sea offshore, East Sea offshore, southern Jeju offshore, western Jeju offshore, and outer southern sea offshore experiencing winds of 30 to 60 km/h (9 to 16 m/s) until the 7th, with waves rising 2 to 4 meters high.

Swells will continue to flow into the Gangwon East Coast and Gyeongsang coast for the time being. High waves reaching over rocky shores or breakwaters will surge onto the coast, so caution is advised.

Temperatures are expected to rise again to above average levels starting Friday the 8th, and will maintain levels similar to or slightly higher than the average for some time.
