Yangju City Hosts the '1st Najeon Art Exhibition'

Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 5th that it will hold the "1st Najeon Art Exhibition" at the City Hall 3rd floor Open Gallery until the 8th.

This exhibition features 13 works, including "Circulation" by holder Kim Jeong-yeol and works by members of the Cheonbong Najeon Chilgi Preservation Society, his disciples.

Najeon Chilgi artisan Kim Jeong-yeol creatively combines traditional techniques with modern sensibilities to produce Najeon Chilgi artworks. He nurtures disciples and carries on Najeon Chilgi activities in educational and cultural settings, continuing the tradition.

This exhibition is significant for newly integrating pictorial characteristics by adding modern elements onto traditional Najeon Chilgi techniques, and it holds great meaning as the first exhibition prepared wholeheartedly by all preservation society members.

Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju said, "I am grateful for the precious opportunity to directly view the works of Master Cheonbong Kim Jeong-yeol, who opened a new path in the field of Najeon art through deep research and challenge in this new area, and the members of the Najeon Chilgi Preservation Society."

Meanwhile, the second exhibition will be held from the 15th to December 20th on the 1st floor of the Cheonbong Najeon Chilgi Training Center.
