Yeoju City Announces Slogan Contest for '2025, the Inaugural Year of Yeoju Tourism'

Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) and the Yeoju Sejong Cultural Tourism Foundation (Chairman Lee Soon-yeol) have designated 2025 as the ‘Year of the Inaugural Yeoju Tourism’ to commemorate the opening of Yeoju’s first tourist landmark, the suspension bridge, and are holding a slogan contest symbolizing this event.

According to Yeoju City on the 5th, the contest period is 13 days from the 5th to the 17th, and anyone who is a citizen of the Republic of Korea interested in Yeoju tourism can participate.

The contest content is to appeal Yeoju’s charm and attract tourists’ attention with a creative phrase within 15 characters that promotes the ‘Year of the Inaugural Yeoju Tourism 2025’ and represents the vision of ‘Yeoju, the best tourist city in Korea where history, culture, and nature coexist.’

Applicants can download the application form and the consent form for the collection and use of personal information from the ‘Year of the Inaugural Yeoju Tourism 2025’ slogan contest page in the announcements section on Yeoju City’s website, fill out the forms, sign or seal them, and submit them via the email address provided in the announcement within the contest period.

The winning entries will be selected through a first round of document screening and a second round of public voting, with a total of five winners: one grand prize, two excellence prizes, and two merit prizes. The grand prize-winning slogan will be adopted as the representative slogan serving as the focal point for promoting the ‘Year of the Inaugural Yeoju Tourism 2025.’ The total prize money amounts to 2 million KRW, with the Yeoju Sejong Cultural Tourism Foundation awarding 1 million KRW for the grand prize, 300,000 KRW each for the two excellence prizes, and 200,000 KRW each for the two merit prizes.
