Targeting the Taiwan Game Market... Gyeongbuk TP Successfully Hosts 'Game Companies Overseas Export Consultation'

Achieved 83 Consultation Cases and KRW 22.65 Billion in Consultation Amount

The '2024 Gyeongbuk Game Company Export Consultation' organized by Gyeongbuk Technopark and hosted and sponsored by Gyeongbuk Province and Gyeongsan City was successfully concluded on the 29th of last month at the Regent Taipei Hotel in Taiwan.

Gyeongbuk TP is holding an overseas export consultation meeting for Gyeongbuk game companies on October 29 at the Regent Taipei Hotel in Taiwan.

This export consultation was held to support the global market entry of game companies in the Gyeongbuk region and to establish mutual cooperative relationships between game companies, overseas buyers, and investors.

Nine representative game companies from Gyeongbuk and 23 Taiwanese buyers participated, with an average of 9 companies matched per company, resulting in a total of 83 consultations. The export investment amount reached approximately 22.65 billion KRW, and a total of 2 companies signed MOUs with local Taiwanese companies.

In particular, Steady Turtle signed a game license contract worth 2 billion KRW with Taiwan's Straight Creative, and thanks to these efforts, achieved the highest grade in the 2023 project promotion evaluation results.

This year, focusing on the overseas expansion of game companies, MSG Square, a Gyeongbuk Technopark-supported company (2023 production support, 2024 marketing support), achieved global success with 'Goyang-i Omakase' ranking 1st in popularity on Google Play in the US and Taiwan, and 3rd in Japan.
