Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold a ‘Visiting Parents Academy’ for parents of children preparing to enter high school from the 18th to the 28th.
This academy was organized to provide accurate admission information in the rapidly changing educational environment, improve parents' access to information, and offer practical help in preparing their children for school admission.
The education will be conducted in a total of four sessions. Researchers affiliated with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and current teachers will participate as instructors, and lectures on different topics will be held once in each of the four zones (Gwangjang, Junggok, Guui, Jayang).
Starting with the lecture on ‘Understanding the High School Credit System and the 2022 Revised Curriculum’ at Gwangjang-dong Community Center on the 18th, the sessions will proceed sequentially as follows: ▲ Preparing School Life Records through Analysis of the 2028 College Admission System (20th, Junggok 2-dong Community Center) ▲ High School Selection Briefing I (Gwangjin-gu General High Schools) (26th, Guui 3-dong Community Center) ▲ High School Selection Briefing II (Special Purpose High Schools, Autonomous Private High Schools, etc.) (28th, Gwangjin-gu Office Auditorium).
Applications will be accepted free of charge through the Gwangjin-gu Office website from the 6th to the 13th, recruiting 600 parents of elementary and middle school students interested in their children's education on a first-come, first-served basis.
