Low-income children and adolescents receive 105,000 KRW per month per person, and persons with disabilities receive up to 110,000 KRW per month per person
Online application for sports lesson vouchers from 11/8 to 11/29 on the website or written application at community centers
Guro-gu will recruit eligible recipients for the 2025 Sports Lecture Voucher starting from November 8.
The Sports Lecture Voucher is a welfare program jointly implemented by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and local governments nationwide to promote health improvement and provide opportunities for physical activity participation for low-income children and youth, as well as persons with disabilities.
The number of recipients for the children and youth Sports Lecture Voucher next year will be 768, an increase of 80 from this year, and the support amount has been raised from 100,000 KRW to 105,000 KRW.
Eligible applicants are low-income children and youth aged 5 to 18 (born between January 1, 2007, and December 31, 2020) or children and youth from crime victim families recommended by the National Police Agency.
Selected recipients will receive support for sports lecture tuition fees up to 105,000 KRW per month for one year.
If you wish to apply, you can apply online through the Sports Lecture Voucher website or submit a written application at the resident center of your jurisdiction from November 8 to November 29.
The selection results will be individually notified via text message on December 16.
For the Sports Lecture Voucher for persons with disabilities, 169 people per month will receive support for online and offline sports lecture tuition fees up to 110,000 KRW per person.
Eligible applicants are persons with disabilities aged 5 to 69 (born between 1956 and 2020), and the application period and method are the same as those for low-income children and youth Sports Lecture Voucher.
A Guro-gu official said, “We hope that more residents will be able to participate in physical activities and improve their fitness by utilizing the Sports Lecture Voucher,” and added, “We will continue to strive to provide various opportunities for physical activities.”
