Ulsan City will attend the '2024 Korea Regional Grand Forum' held at 11 a.m. on the 5th at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO).

This event, under the theme "The Future Value and New Growth Industries of Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam in the AI Era," was organized to explore the vision for the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region in the new era of technological revolution.

The event will be attended by over 160 participants, including Park Hyung-joon, Mayor of Busan; Ahn Seung-dae, Deputy Mayor of Ulsan; Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongnam; and Kang Byung-jung, Chairman of KNN, with presentations and Q&A sessions conducted by each city and province.

In his presentation, Deputy Mayor Ahn Seung-dae raised the necessity of lifting development restrictions and introducing a differentiated electricity tariff system by region to advance and modernize Ulsan's four major industries and establish a foundation for future new growth. He also introduced future growth engines such as the hydrogen industry, artificial intelligence industry, and secondary battery industry.

The 'Korea Regional Grand Forum' has been held annually since 2015, and this year it is conducted to seek strategies for the mutual development and regional advancement of Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam.
